When Kids are Too Quiet, Mr. Mischief is Near!

Sounds wonderful!

But when you are a parent, or babysitting you know silence means mischief is afoot!  When you have twins, and you know they have just woken up from their nap, and are taking WAY too long to appear, then silence can be SCARY!

Normally I let them get out of their toddler beds and they either wonder downstairs by themselves, or play in their room for a few minutes. I can always hear them on the monitor.

Well, this time they took a little long to get downstairs. I run up stairs, and they have locked themselves in my closet!

I open the door and say “Boo!” thinking I would surprise them, but I’m the one that got surprised!

I found this:

Double Trouble Hard At Work!

YUP! And my hubby thinks my closet is a mess because of me?!?!?

Nope, both boys were pulling my shoes off the shelves.

Either the twins:

1. Are trying to move me out (dissatisfied customers!)

2. Have figured out the Internet and are trying to sell my shoes on eBay!

3. Or else steal my shoes!

Those boys!

Gotta love them :)

That is too funny! I hope they are not trying to move you out!

  2. I can totally relate to kids getting into mischief! You always know something is up when there is silence. Oh the stories we can tell as parents!

You’re right about that silence! Oh man – they are TOO cute though! Maybe they are packing your bags so that you can take a little mommy vacation. You’ll have plenty of shoes, but may need to shop for a couple of outfits!

  4. That is too cute! Those two are simply adorable. It’s when they become teens that they are over the moon! My teen loves to hang out in the bathroom, of all places. When it gets a bit too quiet, I know exactly where he is and what he’s doing. He’s playing Minecraft while the train leaves the station. What joy! Love ’em anyway. He’s a keeper.

No I think what happened was that as a caring brother Cameron knows just how much his brother Mason likes shoes (even more than his Mummy – I didn’t think that was possible, but it’s true) so thought while Mummy wasn’t looking he’d help his bro get the shoes outta there, so that together they could try on Mummy’s shoes!!!! Now now now Sista you and I did that exact same thing all the time. Trying to walk around in Mummy’s shoes was SO much fun, especially when she wasn’t looking, the boys must take after us! I think once we even took some of Mummy’s lipstick to try at the same time.

Those were great memories :) Hopefully this blog will give the boys stories from those years of being too young to remember!

I love this! That is exactly what the two of you got up to. I even have a few photos when I caught you red handed. I have just been looking back a year to last Easter and cannot believe just how much the boys have grown! The difference is amazing. I can’t wait to see all of you again.

What ?? I have the photos to prove otherwise. Beautiful ones of you two, with beautifully waved hair, taken where the TV was placed in the recess in our bedroom.

Oh such great memories were being made—mess included 😉
