Santa Was Late For His Own Party!! Geez Santa!

Santa, you’re late!

Perhaps as a “celebrity” he feels that he can take his sweet old time.

Yeah, not so much!

I took the kids to the mall to visit Santa – crazy, I know! We arrived at 10 am and saw that he only showed up at 11am. No biggie, we had some shopping and errands to do.

Return to Santa 5 minutes early and the dreaded line has already started to form. We take our place – sixth in line (not bad), and then we wait.

Oh hold on a sec…a wonderful train ride while we wait? Sure, why not? So the boys get a fun train ride, and still no Santa.

The Royal wave from Mason

We wait some more, and while we are standing there I think about all the Christmas movies I have watched in my life, where the mall Santas are less than “appealing”. You know the ones I mean? The ones who drag their feet to get to their post all the while having just been sitting behind the mall drinking some “refreshments” out of a brown paper bag.

Well as I was imagining Santa on his smoke break outside, the kids waiting less than patiently, I decided to call it a day. Waiting the fifteen minutes felt like FOREVER, when the kids were feeling restless!

Santa, you were late for your own party! But at least we had a fun train ride!

Perhaps we will try again next week 😉

Out kids were always a little freaked out by mall Santas, so luckily we don’t have to deal with all of that. You’re brave for trying. At least your little ones had fun on the train.

Bad Santa! 3 years ago we stopped going to the mall to see Santa and just deal with him when he shows up at church instead. No more long lines, no more crying kids or pissy parents. But we don’t get the train rides :(

I can’t get over the cuteness of your twins! Looks like you had a great day :)

  4. Oh Santa, that magic is supposed to take care of the holiday traffic!
The boys look so happy on the train ride and that will most likely be the part they remember and savor the most! Such fun!

  5. If you’re up for a day trip, the Santa experience at the Columbus Zoo is simply amazing — as is the rest of the Columbus Zoo Christmas experience! We miss it terribly since moving south — even after 11 years away.

Oh my word, what a very bad Santa! I am so glad that the boys got to go on the train ride, and re-live our train ride in Scotland…Mason even brought he little British friend with him! Those smiles……they really do melt the heart, I can’t stop smiling, but then again I am biased, I’m the very blessed, proud Aunt!

  7. OUPA says:

How could he do that ? Sorry the boys missed the chance.

  8. Rosey says:

The first day we went to see him we called ahead of time and were told he’d be there until 7. We got there at five til six, thinking we had a ton of time and Santa was packing up to leave. lol I guess he had toys to make or something. 😉

WOW! That’s pretty sad. So, he did not show up? Did you go back the following week with the kids?
