Please forgive me for neglecting you all, I haven’t blogged for a while, simply because life got a little crazy! It was my birthday, which I seemed to celebrate for weeks, I had a couple of sick kids (very short lived and mild, but sick all the same), and had quite a few doctor appointments of my own.
The twins seem to be shooting up, getting so tall, which seems to require a whole new set of baby proofing ideas. The boys are climbers! Climbing on to almost everything, including up onto the dining room table, and the bar stools at the counter, so I had to rethink the set of sharp knives that used to live there! I feel like I need to keep my windows drawn incase the neighbors thing we are crazy for “allowing” out boys to climb up onto the table!
The boys can now reach the water dispenser on the fridge, and can climb in and out of the bath unassisted – both things could lead to disastrous situations!
They are also being very creative with what they use to get higher – their ride on cars, boxes, benches (really anything that can hold their weight) are now being used to get higher themselves.
This morning, Cameron and Mason were meant to be brushing their teeth. I left them on their foot stool, with a water source (YES! What was I thinking??) for a few minutes…. Nothing sounded out of the ordinary. I had my sister on the phone, when I arrive to see Cameron throwing cups of water onto the floor!
EEK!!!!
I screeched “Cameron, No!! Danger, danger!”
And I hear a little echo, in a much sweeter voice, “No Cameron, danger, danger!” Little Mason was there echoing every word of mine. Disciplining his brother too
Mason quickly scrambled into the bathtub to avoid being hit by the water! (See the little leg in the photo below)
“You are going to have to clean this up Cameron”
Sweet little echo…
“You could slip Cameron”
Echo, echo.
So even when they are up to no good, I can’t help but chuckle to myself. I also heard a rather loud chuckle coming from the abandoned phone, as my sister overheard it all!

That is so very cute! It seems so bad at the time but I am sure you will laugh at it a little later on! Children always get up to/ into something else! It is what kids do best! They have to explore and push the boundaries! We as adults hate it at the time, but see the lighter side of things later on. This by the way is ” the terrible twos”. So be prepared! I love you. X
Yup they really are exploring so much! I try to take it in stride although this doesn’t always happen! I have had a few days of terrible two’s – a few melt downs
Luckily they are few and far between in general. Love you too!

So glad you are back on line. I have missed your posts.
Oh my. Yes .That is all part of growing up. Moms have to be on top of it all.
I just laugh.
You can laugh now Oupa, but just wait till you get recruited to babysit the twins
I am not looking forward to the climbing stage. My son is 20 months old and so far he doesn’t climb yet (knock on wood). I know that it is around the corner. My oldest son used to push a chair and climb up on it to reach for things sitting on the counter. He used to drive me bonkers doing that because he was so QUICK. I can’t imagine having two babies to keep up with much less one.
I’ve heard rumors that not all kids are climbers!!! Hopefully you lucked out
Your boys always have the greatest adventures. You’ve been on my mind a lot lately, with your (not so) little ones. I hope all is going well!
Thank you
All is well just been super busy x
Mason is smart!!!! Making sure he steers clear of the mess, reminding you that he is the obedient one… I’d watch that guy if I were you. Cameron is your predictable one. LOL
Welcome back.
Lol! I hear ya about the predictable ones
Your boys are so sweet. C is just starting to get into everything, and I can’t imagine what it would be like to have 2 in the exact same stage to look after at once. I love that you’re able to chuckle about these things too…life’s too short not to!
they will keep you on your toes! Glad your sis got a chuckle out of it =)
