Grateful for 2012….

The family with Grammy

As this year comes to a close, I can’t help but be extremely grateful – because quite frankly I survived another year with these twins! ;-)

I couldn’t survive without my HUGE support system – friends, neighbors, family, babysitters and nanny. I also loved having you readers give me your advice and support through out our challenges: giving up the bottle, sleep issues, behavior problems and all the other little twin issues!

OH NO!!

This year I visited the ER on three occasions all with the same kid, we survived croup, a febrile seizure, various bugs and scrapes, and a dislocated ligament in the elbow!

We have had quite a few hilarious moments this year – some unfortunately involve poop and puke, but hey if you can’t laugh then you will probably be crying or hitting the bottle way before cocktail hour!!

But for all those “less than fabulous moments”, this year has definitely been filled with wonders, great achievements and many firsts:

It melts my heart, every time my boys grab for my hand. Those who know me know I have rough hands, but the boys still want to hold them :) LOL

It melted my heart when the boys gave each other a kiss for the first time.

I love how they call each other brother (“brava”) and at the moment they call Mason “Masy” but when you ask them who is in the photo – they are both all of a sudden “Masy”. So I can’t wait for them to start saying Cameron.

The boys got their first haircut!

Mason is fully recovered from his plagiocephaly and torticollis thanks to intensive in home and outpatient therapy.

Men in Kilts!

We have traveled with the boys on boats, planes, trains, cabs, cars and busses – in the US and UK. Some of the trips were disasters (oh my!) but others were just fun (especially seeing the boys in their kilts!)

Aunty Caz and Mason

And the boys have started developing little friendships – it’s so wonderful to see!

January was the start of this little blog project. I have come a long way -  starting with 220 readers the first month and now up to 340 in one day :) I have had a guest post, reader question, Twin mom interviews and hopefully next year my first give away!

Thank you for your support. Please continue to read and share my blog and encourage your friends to become fans on facebook (shameless plug!) Take a look at all the older posts – we have had quite the year!

Wishing you all joy in 2013.

Hoping your year is full of fun and remember to live life like a child – enjoying all the little wonders  – like you are seeing everything for the first time.
