My friend Sara recently asked me what kinds of Fall activities I had planned for the twins. Apart from going to all the pumpkin patches in and around town I came up with nothing.
That’s when she suggested painting craft pumpkins. I had never heard of a craft pumpkin – it can be carved if needed, but it’s sturdy, yet soft and it’s almost like poly styrene yet denser. You can find these at your local arts and craft store.
At the store they told me to purchase the craft acrylic paint as the washable paints would just wash off. We also purchased a sealer to keep the paint on when we put them outside.
The twins had their older cousins over to help with the project.
Here is the fun we had…..
And once the pumpkins were done they switched to painting the packing peanuts which we plan to string up for our Christmas Tree.
Do you have any fun activities you like to do this time of year?
