Budsies – A Special Buddy For Life!

If you are like me, you love seeing your little ones develop and grow and become more creative.

If you are like me, you are snapping photos to document the first time they paint, or draw or make a craft.  My twins aren’t even 3 years old yet, and I have over 8000 photos of their experiments crafts and adventures!

If you are like me, you are looking for creative ways to preserve your children’s artwork.

I was approached by Budsies, and presented with a unique way to preserve the twins’ artwork. And not just preserve it but bring it to life! Budsies take the artwork and create a 3D stuffed toy out of your child’s creation.

At first I was concerned that my twins (just a few month shy of turning three), wouldn’t be able to create something that could translate into a toy. Well the helpful people at Budsies gave me two options – either use one of their templates online and have the twins color or fill in the details OR have someone older help them with the design.

Mason loves dinosaurs (remember his cool Halloween costume?) so I decided to draw one and get him to paint it. Here is his design:

Cameron used pencils and the color was too faint to make a great toy. So after a few attempts we abandoned his dino, and took a painting he did at school and asked them to create a toy. To me this abstract painting looked like a tropical fish, and so that’s what we requested.

Eager to see the results?

When the package arrived I was over the moon. Not only did I love their interpretation of the toys, but the quality of the toys were fabulous too! The dinosaur and fish are super soft, made from vibrant colors and are absolutely huggable as you can see from Cameron’s response!

The boys love, love, love their new Budsies. I can see them trying to figure out how their creations came to life! Cameron was comparing his “bish” to the “Tropical Fish painting” he did at school.

Mason exclaimed, “My orange T-Rex! He is my friend!”

Cameron immediately named his fish “Nemo” :)

Well to say the boys have become attached quickly is an understatement! The twins have been sleeping with them in their beds and even took them in the car….

Thank you Budsies for bringing their creations to life! I can’t wait to create another one when they actually draw the whole image by themselves.

The customer service staff online made the whole process very easy. Not only were the kids happy, but I was too! The toys were made so well, and the staff at Budsies were great from beginning to end. I highly recommend this company to help preserve your child’s artwork, and create a special buddy for life!

What if someone submits a drawing or photo of a person? Might they make stuffed representations of faraway Grandmothers?

    • Twin Mom says:

LOL well that might be a little creepy ;)
I am sure they get interesting requests though – each drawing has to be approved by the art department before your Budsie is created… This might be a new niche for them.
